Andrew Feinstein, a former ANC MP and leading member of the key watchdog committee Standing Committee on Public Accounts, has published The Shadow World, Inside the Global Arms Trade. It reveals the corruption and cover-ups behind weapons deals ranging from the largest in history - between the British and Saudi governments - to BAE's controversial transactions in South Africa, Tanzania and eastern Europe and the revolving-door relationships that characterise the US Congressional-Military-Industrial complex.
It follows on After the Party, an account of the power struggles that dominated SA politics after its controversial arms deal. It included the contentious trial of President Jacob Zuma.
Feinstein will take questions.
